My name is Joshua Poyer and I am a New York City based street and portrait photographer. Born and raised in The Bronx, I find inspiration in the authenticity and culture that surrounds me daily. Son to a Puerto Rican mother and West Indian father, my work focuses on exploring the intersections which keep us all connected.

In 2019, my work was selected for the 2019 Fujifilm PrintLife Photo Exhibit in New York City’s Grand Central Station. Additionally in that same year, my work was selected by The Bronx Documentary Center for 2019 Annual Portfolio Review. In 2021, I was selected to show a portion of my series Postcards at The Bronx Documentary Center’s City Artist Corps Pop-up Gallery.
